Shane, you just have to look for the next generation T-65C-A2 X-Wing. Incom upgraded the engines and the IMS bearing is no longer an issue. Besides, the T-65-B had an upgraded bearing that had a failure rate <1% of all X-Wings produced. If you do go for the T-65A, there are retrofit kits by FreiTek that will replace…

I see this and the first thing that comes to mind is how do I make it a reality?  What current platform can I start with to make it happen?

You can’t upgrade the IMS bearing in the 987 without cracking the case open.  This can be done in the 986 Boxsters though.

The Cayman S was released in the US with the 3.4-liter mill (295 horses) in 2006. I should know, I own one. The S was never smaller than the 3.4 in the 987.1. Maybe in the Boxster S 986.

Jesus, that is hideous.  I usually like BMW but it feels like they a losing their way with this design.
