He went from bratty tuneless whining about how the music industry is, like, super lame and fake and stuff, to churning out shitty extruded music-type product for third-tier pop acts.

Finally, some good news!

Don’t give up, Gregg.

The New Radicals’ Gregg Alexander says he’s got “7 to 10" completed albums he’ll probably never release

Also casually dropping his “low seven figures” charity giving and mentioning how he knew Barry before ‘08...

Now playing

If the 10 albums he’s keeping under wraps are anything like this just put them in the Smallpox vault.

When that overrated song first came out, I remember him on mtv giving interviews about how he’s greater than the Beatles. Maybe he was being sarcastic, but he sure came off like an arrogant dick with zero irony.

I thought the real reason is because he’s this newbie that decided to diss on a lot of big stars and he got blacklisted.

YEEEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I’m not trying to say I’m right but like every couple years this song comes up and someone inevitably describes it as a total classic, some diamond in the rough, yada yada. I fucking hate that song. Its cloying. That last “kick their ass in” bit too, yiiiiikes. So corny.

He gets what he gives, maaaaaaaaaaaan.

He said he got out of the industry “as an artist.” Not as grist in the pop music mill.

Did he really extricate himself from the music industry if he’s just writing songs for top 40 artists now?

That’s a shame, I’d kind of like to have heard them and...Oh, wait a minute he wrote Ronan Keating’s “Life Is A Rollercoaster”? I’ll pass then.

Regardless of what you think of this guy’s music (can’t say I have much interest in it myself), he’s pretty dead on with his comments about the industry.

Mmmm, he must be too busy kicking in Beck and Courtney Love’s asses to focus on hiss career.

In related news, Carrot Top has ten hour-long comedy specials he refuses to release because of his ideals, and not because nobody wants them.
