I just teared up. I've experienced that so many times in soulsborne games. It's why From software are gods.

I agree that FF12 was probably the worst and most confusing example they could have used. A 2D sprite game would have made more sense, I don’t think anyone has nostalgia for low res, low framerate 3D games.

Yeah, I’ve used up my allotment of LiA complaints, so I’m glad someone else said it. Such convoluted and overly fussy setups for such anti-punchlines. If the art wasn’t so good, I’d assume the strip was some kind of excercise in Adult Swim-style non-humor humor.

Also, there were (and still are, but super expensive now), CRT HDTVs. I had one from Samsung.

I remember an E3 event a few years ago where Reggie was sitting a few rows away from me, just playing 3DS like the rest of us schlubs.

It helped that he was also buying what he was selling.  While not a hardcore gamer by any stretch of the imagination, he often had Nintendo games/systems on his person ready to play.  Seemed to genuinely believe in the product.  

I think a lot of people don’t understand how good of a job Reggie has done, I look forward to the “wow I didn’t realize...” reactions to the numerous think pieces that are to come.

I guess if you had a Vita you could always use that right? Pair it up with the PS4 for mobile mode, just deal with the small screen for a bit and take the weight off.

Note that the Sega Genesis collection consists of the original Genesis ROMs with no significant enhancements. When a player mentions “Sega Ages,” they are referring to a specific set of enhanced remakes done by M2. There is a Sega Ages Sonic and Outrun available on the Switch.

The SNK collection is definitely the better made collection with reverence to the original products, you can feel the love put into making it. The Genesis collection is a cash-in with a mediocre emulator with bad (but mostly tolerable) sound but some really great games including PS2-4. The inclusion of the Fast…

Good question! It’s good to know the gist of 1 and 2 as there are lots of nods to it, though it does stand by itself. Having said that, 1 and 2 require a lot more grinding than IV and I mean A LOT. =p
