Got it. Didn’t realize it had co-op, which someone else mentioned.

Very interesting. I know what you mean about P5’s story. I loved the characters and the relationships, but the story itself was a big step back from P4G for me. The premise, with them being publicly-known superheroes, was really interesting, but the narrative did not pan out.
Those two remasters would be incredible. I’ve never played the former, but I adore 4 and 5, and the latter is one of my favorite games of all time.
I think there’s confusion about the Xenoblade game announced today. The port today was of Xenoblade Chronicles, ie the one with Shulk. Xenoblade Chronicles X was an original Wii U game not really related to Xenoblade Chronicles, which was a Wii game. Many, many people owned Wiis, and AFAIK a Switch port of XCX has…
That’s a very interesting comment, the idea that you can tell it was developed between Persona 4 and 5. Those are the only two games I’ve played in the SMT franchise, but I adore them and know them very well. I loved Fire Emblem Three Houses (and Awakening), but I definitely have more affinity for those Persona…
I hate it when that happens.
Ok but every now and then there is an e3 presentation that will be memorable for people who write about games for years. The Sony presentation from 2015 is probably the most recent one.
I NEVER SAID EVERY NINTENDO DIRECT HAS TO BE HISTORICALLY MEMORABLE. WHY ARE YOU PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH WHILE YELLING?
Of course I’m not wrong. It would have been historically memorable had they had footage of the game at all, whether it was real or fake, because it was so soon after it was rebooted. That was my only point, and it felt like you were trying to tell me I was mistaken about something when you said “it’s too soon for an…
I have the N30 Pro, which has the aesthetics of a NES controller with something close to the shape of a SNES controller but is still unique. I think it is one of the newest ones, yes. I do realize that this company is great at approximating the old controllers, but there’s just something about having the first-party…
Great, thanks for the input! I loved Persona 4 and 5, so I’ll probably pick it up if/when it is on sale and I don’t have another JRPG to be playing through. If I were to pick one up any time soon, I’d rather wait for Dragon Quest XI.
I’m well aware MP4 was rebooted, hence why it would have been “historically memorable” had they had footage. My point was that I am almost always delighted by the final surprise of these Directs, and a remake of the first Xenoblade fell far short of the status quo for me. I’m not sure Bayonetta 3 footage would have…
Holy shit I am well aware that Metroid Prime 4 was rebooted. My point was that, had they had footage of it, the presentation would have been “HISTORICALLY MEMORABLE”, which was the phrase I used. And the commenter you are defending said I was “hard to please”, which is not at all supported by anything I said. It…
Fine, but that’s all I was saying, and people are taking it to mean that I wasn’t happy with the Direct, which is a completely different sentiment that I was not at all expressing.
Wtf are you talking about? I’ll ask the question again: Do you think we’ll be talking about the 9/4/19 Direct in three years?
I didn’t say I wasn’t happy with it, I said it wasn’t “historically memorable”. Do you think we’re going to be talking about the 9/4/19 Direct in three years?
Anyone have thoughts they’d like to share on Tokyo Mirage Sessions? I was burnt out on Fire Emblem when it was released on Wii U, but I’m in a very different place with the franchise right now. And I love a good concurrent announcement-release.
Disappointing final surprise, though. Had they announced a new game, or had Metroid Prime 4 gameplay footage or something, it would have been historically memorable. But I don’t think that’s the case as it was.
On a related note, is it strange that they are including Joe & Mac 2 instead of the original? I have fond memories of the first game but I never played the second. Anyone know anything about it?
I’m both not shocked, and delighted, by that fact. Can’t wait for Obra Din and the SNES library!!
