But they weren’t, and they’re not. That’s the point. It is a matter of fact that the controls in Skyward Sword worked very well. If they didn’t, no one would have finished that game. You may not have liked them, but they worked.  And to your second false point, can you imagine if Wii Sports didn’t use motion control

I really enjoy the writing in this game, but I almost completely disagree with this post. That felt like one of the weaker moments to me in the writing, as the “misunderstanding” felt straight out of a bad movie or tv show that was trying to force plot movement. Obviously Peter was not talking about his relationship

It’s not a backhanded compliment if I genuinely enjoyed the motion controls, which I did. You can say you didn’t like them, but I would go so far as to say that you are objectively wrong when you say the motion controls were “terrible”, because it is a fact that they actually worked very well. I never, ever got

Are you being serious when you treat your own opinion as fact? I can’t tell if you’re being ironic or not. You do realize that you saying Skyward Sword’s motion controls are terrible is equally as valid as me saying they were the best aspect of that game? And my opinion has the added bonus of having been validated

Have they done Twitch Plays speedruns before? That’s very interesting. I mean, Scribblenauts is the most straightforward game to do that with I suppose, so it’s a good way to try that out.

Finally got to what I assume is the third act of Spider-Man, so I’m gonna try to push through to the end on that one. I also have The Messenger, Okami HD, and now Ikaruga on Switch filling my time, in addition to Octopath Traveler, which I’m now about 40 hours into and I don’t think I’m even halfway through, given

There are plenty of not-necessarily-famous buildings in Spider-Man that are based on real buildings in NYC. My favorite is the church that is at the SE corner of Union Square in the game, based on a church that IRL is a few blocks south of the square on Broadway. That church is gorgeous when there is snow on the

Haven’t listened to the pod (yet), but I, too, would be very uncomfortable hearing a Juul ad given the circumstances, possibly to the point where I would stop listening.

I agree with every word you wrote in both of your comments, except that 30 years old is not young and that it wouldn’t make sense for someone that age to have grown up liking Pokémon. 30 years old is definitely young in the grand scheme, but it is especially young for a successful fashion designer with runway shows.

OP didn’t claim the designer didn’t grow up liking Pokémon, and I take issue with your assumption that anyone reading this post (or anyone sharing OP’s opinion on that ugly ass clothing) grew up liking Pokémon, as I did not and never have.

I gotta say, you keep pushing that Takeya Cold Brew maker, and I bought that thing on your recommendation, and it was terrible. First off, one batch does not last for several days when you like decently strong cold brew.  For me, one batch was less than three glasses of cold brew. Secondly, there is a major design

I feel like it would have been better if the response was merely, “Fuck off, poseurs.”  This feels like they are trying to placate the poseurs to a degree with those low-percent spawn rates.

Commenters seem to be debating semantics. Do we know that these football clubs are putting money into esports that would otherwise be spent on football? If that’s true, that isn’t necessarily an unreasonable complaint, nor is it a declaration that all esports are bad.

C’mon, be reasonable. Someone has to run the Fox News sex crimes cover-up division.

Why would I want my dedicated mobile gaming device to do all that? I’d much rather have the glasses-free 3D gaming. My iPhone and iPad can do all that, with a far more satisfying user experience. Except play Playstation games, which I conceded in my original post.

Weirdly, reading this made me want to finally play the Vita Uncharted game.  I think I may visit Video Games New York on my lunch break today...

#opinions The Vita is great, and I’m very glad I bought one last year, but I will always prefer the N3DSXL as a dedicated handheld gaming console. There’s nothing quite like playing Super Mario 3D Land with glasses-free 3D on a N3DS. Everything you can do on a Vita, you can also do on a Switch. Except play

I can say from firsthand experience that the Hue bulbs are hardly ever $110 off.

Yes, it’s been a while, but I clearly remember hating Ramza’s voice  in WotL.

Damn, now I’m super excited to find out the other games. So many of these games people have suggested I haven’t played. I was a Nintendo kid who bought a Playstation used for FFVII, and I only really ever played the mainline FFs, FF Tactics, Symphony of the Night, Wild Arms, Parappa the Rapper, and Twisted Metal.
