You should add to the list that this week Google Play is giving away two free albums: A remastered version of Pink Floyd’s “Wish you were here”, and a remixed version of Bleachers’ “Terrible Thrills”.

Maybe is just me, but I’d be much more willing to give them a try if they had a web app that I could try from my desktop browser, before installing anything in my phone. I usually only install a mobile app after I find myself frequenting a website long enough to want to use it on the go.

I’m really curious to try this with bacon. Why? Because bacon.

I already use that method:

Shuck to the heart, and you’re to blame...

I was just checking this out, and my impression so far: This is just Songza (which is now owned by Google), repackaged inside Google Music, with customized stations (like Pandora) and with ads.

Thanks for the reply Barin. Sadly, you state that “no big anti-virus vendors” detect malicious code, but I would call Symantec Norton a big one. My network admin refuses to allow an exception for your file, so I’ll have to be satisfied with the Firefox extension only (that is working fine).

Did you try executing the EXE? In my work PC I can’t because my corporate anti-virus blocks it.

Correction: You don’t need to own a Kindle to get a free book from the Kindle First program. As long as you are a Prime member, you pick a free book every month and read it using the Kindle apps on you mobile device, or on the web using their Cloud Reader.

I bought a refurb Chromecast from Woot the last time they did this offer, and so far it has been working perfectly.

This is my current favorite. I use the XBMC/Kodi addon to play this on my home theater, and rarely feel like switching to any other service.

I was just about to nominate this. With the addition of stations is now competing with Songza for my listening time.

I use two Nowhere Man channels that are in that screenshot: Nowhere Music and Nowhere Songz, to play music from Google Play and Songza, respectively. Sure, they have a few bugs, but until official apps are available they work really well.

If you already have the Harmony Hub (included with several Harmony home remotes), you can get the Harmony keyboard from Amazon for $50. It makes for a great living room keyboard for an HTPC.

Awesome!

You are right, I should have said “VOD” or “On Demand” instead of DVR. You can’t play GoT after airings like you can with HBO Go. At least for me, that is a deal breaker.

If I’m reading the details correctly, seems that unlike the rest of Sling channels you won’t have DVR capability for HBO. So if you want to watch GoT you better be seated in front of the screen Sunday night at 9, old-school style.

As another commenter pointed out, there are tasks (like programming) where you benefit more of vertical space rather than horizontal. Some coders in my office (myself included) like to have a second monitor that we can pivot 90 degrees as needed. Moving windows from one monitor to another can get visually odd when you

You state this is for iOS only, but I installed Dropbox's Mailbox app on my Android device a few weeks ago and I got the extra 1 Gb.
