Valid point. In my case the Amazon apps were more than a year behind the Google versions, and I find hard to believe Amazon would take that long to approve an update.

Warning regarding the free apps from Amazon: Some developers don't update their Amazon Appstore copies as frequently as they do with the Google Play store. I got Shazam Encore and Runtastic Pro in a similar sale a couple of years ago, and they are still several releases behind the Google versions.

I'm a frequent user of Can I Stream It and I find that its biggest issue is outdated availability. Frequently it lists shows as "unavailable" on Amazon Prime or Hulu when they have been there for months.

If you want to save a bit more on that Linksys WRT1900AC router, Amazon has a certified refurbished for $180 with prime shipping. Depending on your state, you might also save the sales tax that Amazon collects —for me, that jumps the price of the new router to $214.
