You summarized much of what I was thinking. It all sounded crazy when I heard it. As you said, Joshua Brown was concerned for his life when he testified.

My friend’s son killed a drug dealer who had threatened him, and he did 14 years (in Texas).

Like the story.  I liked Car Talk, the music they would play, and their encouragement to downsize when possible to protect the environment.
