And since you seem to make such confident statements for someone who knows little about France, who exactly are these young players waiting to burst on to scene?

And Lavogez for that matter.
Where did you see this scene of France players crying after regular time. I have watched this game twice very closely and have not encountered this scene...
Please tell me when exactly the France players were crying and “bawling” their eyes out. I have watched the match twice and there is absolutely no footage OR pictures of this so called scene. And how can you say Germany were “clinical” when they didn’t score in regular play?
The players for France who wanted to take the PKs volunteered (and I feel way is better than assigning players against will as confident PK taker who is worse > a better PK taker who is nervous IMO.) and so Thiney, Nécib, Renard, Abily were the first 4, but the 5th PK taker had not been decided yet. Lavogez raised her…
Thomis was not taken out for no real reason. It was reported after the match she had to exit due to leg cramping.
Henry is almost never on the wing....she is a central defensive midfielder...
Germany sure were complete and England were mediocre, huh.
Shannon Boxx and Christie Rampone did not play in that match against France. And regardless of who’s fault the goals were, France still dominated.
Since when are they young? People are treating them as if they’re a new and upcoming team that was just discovered during the World Cup. No, they’ve been on the rise for a few years now and are a fully capable and experienced team with a middle range age average.
“The US has a substantially better defense than France” the US that France scored two goals on and had a shutout against? And Germany’s defense is superior to France’s?! That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard regarding the World Cup. Have you seen Krahn? Germany were completely exposed by France and the US. The…
That match was an odd outlier. They dominated that game as well. And they ARE consistent. From December 2014-June 2015 in which they played many top teams, the combined score was 9-1 (against Germany 2-0, USA 2-0, Brazil 2-0, Japan 3-1). And they defeated England in their World Cup opening match.
Are you kidding me? That was quite literally France’s B team. No Renard, Georges, Thomis, Nécib, Majri, Dali...and they are not young. Younger than the USWNT for sure, but definitely not “a young team with a lot of players waiting in the wings to come up.” In fact this was the strongest ever French team with the best…
