I bought a fully loaded astra in late Dec 08 right before cash for clunkers. After incentives + a $2000 visa card applied it was $12,800 (cut to 12K after I bought a spare parts worthy car traded in). Had a $18.9K sticker price on it.

My father bought a “hail damaged Aura in 2009 for $18k. We never managed to find any evidence of repaired damage...

Mack, love your work but this should have been left to someone who was already born in 2001, preferably one of us who was old enough to be buying cars in this era.

I nearly spat out my conveniently-sipped drink at how many damn Explorers they sold that year. That’s a third of a million people who want to drive very slowly because everyone in front of them is conveniently going to go the speed limit.

Counterpoint - My father purchased an Acura TLX and has had a copious number of problems with the vehicle, including programming issues with the transmission, and an obnoxious clunking sound in rear suspension in cold weather that the dealer, and Acura Canada, have deemed normal.

No, but you’d have to give them a cylinder back in exchange for them.

42.8% better actually.

Which ZR-1 are you referring to? The 1990 had 375, then bumped up to 405 in later years, even the C3 versions had more than 325.

The Panamera all day long.

Yeah, they’re all over the place around here.  Also something we’re considering as a replacement.

So many choices!

Something unique? I got you!

There’s really no shortage of choices for wagons a lot of us love. I look at these suggestions and I’m thinking, “yep, yep, mm hmm, like that one too”

That’s not an SUV, it’s a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle

Might as well go full JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG

The Jaguar XF Sportbrake exists and yet you don’t suggest it what is wrong with each and every one of you

Ha your username is similar to that of the person in the photo of the 200 series LandCruiser. And the other two photos are from my neck of the woods as well.

Someone give that car an EpiPen stat!

Not one Uber employee is driving people around.

That makes no sense. You’re basically saying no company that ever uses contractors is allowed to set a price on the products or services they provide.
