I think it can go either way, and your point on physical fit is totally valid. As a tall, I can avoid some of the concerns about ride and fit by buying German cars. No matter what the size of the car, they give me the space and adjustability I need. And the vast majority of brands have a certain character to

Everyone who reads this article on a phone is going to wonder what all the comments are about. No slideshow madness here.

I bought a car online in 1998. Autobytel, maybe? I just remember I “built” the car online and it gave me a price that was invoice plus a small percentage (2-3%, I think.) It found a matching vehicle in inventory at a random dealership and moved it to a local dealership so I could go pick it up. It may not have been

Well what ‘bout diversifying manufacturing to other products such as these “fuel filters” that only seem to fit 5.56 and .308.

You are hereby sentenced to 9 years of watching Tiger King non-stock. Over and over and over.

It’s not that, lovey. I JUST don’t wanna bail out the cheap no tax paying MOFOS with my tax money. Do YOU???

Now there you go using logic and a reasonable approach with a focus on individual rights and preferences. The self-righteous justice warriors will smite you nightly for behaving like that.

I’m 100% with you. The irony here is that many of these same dealers and states who are getting screwed by needing a “wet signature” and struggling to sell cars in this environment are the exact organizations/states who fought Tesla’s dealer/distribution model tooth and nail. To them I say: Adapt or die. Fighting

I’ll continue to argue that Musk is not a good engineer. He’s an idea man. He’ll say, “Wouldn’t it be cool it...” and then tells his people to make it happen by throwing scads of money at the project. Then all the fanboys mess themselves saying what a genius he is.

When done right, the RMR look is absolutely stunning. The current Ford GT is one of the best-looking cars ever, bar-none, in my opinion. That said, I think it’s harder to do a good-looking RMR design. It’s very easy to end up with a vehicle that looks too front-forward or hunch-backed, and finishing out quarter

I think the best mid engine designs have held up, but I agree generally that Gt proportions are easy to make look good. I still love the Miura, Fiero and MR2 though. Those are not in any way beautiful “for a mid engine car”. No qualifications on those.

The base Corvette isn’t supposed to be quicker in it’s base trim than the absolute top of the line Mustang. That’s just not a fair comparison. The upcoming performance trims will do exactly what you’re talking about.

yeah, Erik’s claim that we haven’t needed to go into showrooms in decades is bullshit. how many people are willing to buy a car sight unseen with no test drive? it’s not the showroom experience shoppers want to avoid, it’s the sale experience.

Seriously. This asshole still has a platform to spew BS that he knows nothing about. Listen to Dr. Fauci, not Elon Musk.

Oh please no. There are few enough good cars left. “I stood a tiny chance of getting a virus, so I let the government convince me to destroy my car so I could go into debt” isn’t something anyone should ever say.

worst manual > best slush box

DING DING DING, we have a winner.

Idiots complaining about “notchy” and “feel” of a manual box in 2020. I’ll take what I can get in any shape / form, as long as I get to use all my limbs while driving. Hell with the complaints and journalists preferring the autos.

It’s probably for the people like me. To me, any manual is better than an auto. I know, call me crazy, but even in a VW DSG, I find my driving experience much more enjoyable in a manual. Plus, I’d probably just change bushings or other DIY fixes instead of compromising with an Auto. I’m special, I know.
