The further issue is that it doesn’t make up for its performance disparity to lower priced cars like the faster Mustangs and Camaros with luxury or heritage. At least the BMW version has the badge and luxury.

“Meanwhile the readers make it easier to apprehend violent criminals.”

Fuck. Off.

Am I the only one here that loves seeing the burnout and drifts? I dont like to just look at the cars, I love to hear them and see them flex a little.

Except organized motorsports events are so organized that they are often dull. Watching some dumbass wreck his personal car is a lot more entertaining than watching a pro beat another pro based on technical points or a few tenths of a second. Why not put up barriers around a designated hooning area and let the idiots

The driver is under 28 or the car is under 28? I’d be in favor of the latter - I don’t go to C&C to look at your stock 2007 Challenger with a cold air intake. The last C&C I was at was row after row of stock late model pony cars. I get that you like your car, but there’s nothing rare or unique about your 2010 Camaro

Always has to be some asshole to play the race card.

ok Boomer? Am I doing this right? Age discrimination is just as absurd as saying no American cars allowed. It’s a solution, but a real shitty one.

Humanity.  By no means do Americans have a monopoly on boorish behavior.

I just don’t want to spend that much on tires.

This is not a race thing. Stop trying to make it about race. It was in Houston, for gods sake.

Because that’s where the clutch pedal goes ;-)

The literal interpretation of “nobody needs a car” is never going to happen in the US. There is always going to be a market for vehicles to bring you, 6 people, the dog, and half your belongings across state lines for the weekend at grandma’s. I don’t care how ubiquitous trains get, the moment you bring something

Cars are only tolerated on a societal level because of their necessity and utility. Aside from the environmental and safety factors, operating a motor vehicle manually provides a significant safety risk to everyone else around it. We tolerate and rationalize that because we don’t really have a better option.

Bingo, I’ve been complaining about this for a while.

Can’t find it just now but a while back I read an article that discussed the fact that most people who voted for mass transit projects - this was in Denver - did so so that others would use it and leave more room on the streets for them.

Except that’s really not how it’s likely to work. If you make it so nobody needs a car, it’s going to transition to “nobody gets a car” surprisingly quick. Cars aren’t guns or churches. There’s no constitutional amendment protecting car ownership. Any protection your ability to have a license and own a vehicle gets is

Where the majority of editorial content comes from folks who live and work where it is impractical to own a vehicle.  Just sayin’

No its a politics website above all. Cars are just what keeps our eyes in front of their message.  These daily news threads are the ground zero.
