Don’t cross the streams.

you dont have to worry. Fully autonomous vehicles are basically a silicon valley and ignorant persons pipe dream. We are nowhere near seeing that. Lots of other htings to worry about before worrying about that.

Just thinking out loud here, but what do people pushing for autonomous vehicles think will happen to motorcycles? Will they be the last true personal transportation or banned outright? I can’t imagine motorcycles will become autonomous at the same time as cars.

Daddy issues is what strippers have.. Never met a Harley driver with glass heels.

That would create a better flow for entertaining

I’ve actually flown on my company’s plane a few times. I’m hardly a senior exec (more middle management level), though only VPs and above are allowed to request use of the plane and must be on board. The main use of the plane is to get a group of folks to a meeting somewhere where commercial travel would be slow or

I think EV’s will have market share but we’ll see a split in the next 20 years. 50% gasoline, 40% gas/electric hybrid, 8% EV and the rest will be split between Diesel and Hydrogen.

(Sorry, I forgot the /s to my post.)

Just one quick point to make, the high-altitude/low-humidity/high-noise is not really that big a deal on the Dreamliner. Max cabin altitude is 6000', it maintains a higher humidity level (still low, but not 2% low), and it’s one of the quietest planes out there. The humidity and cabin altitude would be like visiting

Opinions like this make some good populist kindling, but never addresses a) how money currently collected is being wasted and how to fix that and b) what exactly would this money be used for and c) who are we punishing and to what ends?

A price on carbon will make sure everyone is paying for the damage they cause.

Counter-point: This is a very stupid idea that should not be used for revenue generation (used for god knows what) nor reduction in air travel.

I’m not sure how much of a privacy violation would be involved in these implementations, but I’m concerned more about false positives and a car not letting me drive because of a software or hardware glitch.

I wouldn’t put it past Democrats to influence these mass shooters to attack so they can come after your guns

IF they had offered a proper manual, id have sold a kidney for one of these.

As it sits, I don’t give one single ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The steering is either overly light or overly heavy, and doesn’t say too much in the way of feedback. But it’s accurate.

Got a better idea. They are not allowed to turn down anyone asking to help them move.

Yeah, I’m very happy with my 2011 Volt. I bought it used a few years ago and have had literally no problems with it, other than a recent issue where it thinks the charge door is open all the time -- my only service items have been tires, a coolant change, and a new cabin air filter. It feels so tightly screwed

Agreed. I’ll seriously consider an EV for my next car if range is 300+ and charge time is sub 30 minutes. Charging stations would have to be pretty prevalent, too.
