I believe this take is completely wrong—manual enthusiasts are such because we place extreme importance in *OUR* driving experience. We don’t give two passing thoughts to what you or Mrs. Purdy, the sweet old lady at the end of the cul-de-sac, drive. We don’t have any motivation to force you, or anyone else into a

Was gonna say Lagonda, but then saw the 2-door requirement.

Are we making a distinction between modern/semi-modern exotics ~$130,000 and concours classics in the same price range? If not, how about an NCRS Top Flight rare C3 example (ZL1, L71, ZR1, LT1, etc.). They are stunning in their styling and no one drives these

C’mon, we’re all too car-smart here on Jalop to believe that it’s ever about the empirical numbers—it isn’t. It’s almost entirely about *PERCEPTION* to the average (non-Jalop) car buyer and MSM op-ed hack. And both of these people perceive any SUV-like vehicle to be an unweildy gas guzzler and will continue to do so

100% do not get the logic of only offering the manual in the hatchback., when they have two identical platforms with identical drivetrains and simply different exterior sheet metal. If you’re going to offer a manual at all, why the fuck do you, as a manufacturer, care which body style the build sheet tells Joe

Well, one hand, its two fingers, and a single booger...
;-)

Kind of a bummer you can’t even get leather seats with 3 pedals...

How do you get “more grill” on this car without putting wire mesh across the windshield?

The dealership issue aside, this scenario illustrates the unfortunate farce that BaT has become in the last 12-18 months. What was once a community of enthusiasts coming together to buy, sell, and trade both vehicles and the knowledge behind them has devolved into a playground of egotistical dick measuring between

Now, now, let’s all pump our ABS brakes before this really gets out of hand...

Despite being somewhat shy on your HP figure, isn’t the vehicle you’re describing called a Miata?

Not even on sale yet and already in need of an LS & Tremec swap.

How has no one said used C7?????

Incredibly reliable in N/A trim, cheap to work on (relatively), quite practical with cavernous cargo room, 30+ MPG on the highway, and as easy to DD as a Civic. Not to mention, pretty exotic looking for those who don’t see it as overwrought.

Then you’d have no per-person dollars over $1M to sieze...er, tax, as no one would bother to put in the extra effort to surpass that wealth mark if it would all be confiscated anyway. Or they’d leave the US and conduct their personal lives from abroad, leaving the government with $0 tax dollars from their personal

Who knows with Florida, but I would think that in general, a law may be broken or tort committed when a business publically advertises merchandise for sale at a specific price and then refuses to accept that price for its sale.

But isn’t “no shifting/clutching and low center of mass” the way all electric motorcycles operate? I don’t think this is unique to Harley’s bike, such that it would differentiate it to justify the comical price.

I *like* Harley, and it’s an amazing fail!

Ford SVT Contour and the GM Kappa twins (in contrast to most here, I prefer the styling of the Sky over the Solstice).

That’s exactly what I was going to post. Add to that, that most people assume a covered car is a *really* nice car, to warrant the cover (so long as the cover isn’t ratty).

Here’s the thing, If someone “who needs a house to live in” doesn’t sign a rental agreement, they -are- -homeless- just find a different apartment complex that isn’t ridiculous and signs its lease.

FIFY

Agreed. Good points. And I didn’t realize that that there were *any* condo HOA’s that were amenable to anything logical and resident-friendly ;-)
