Yeah, any company asking me to sign such a thing gets an automatic no from me. I’d leave, thanking my lucky stars they showed their hand.
I am a pretty good judge of people and this was toward the end of the interview. By that time, I had a pretty good idea the risk would be rewarded, though I’ve certainly misjudged before. But sometimes, you gotta take a risk.
Been there done that. Now happily ensconced in the job for which I was overqualified for 10 years - though I’ve been promoted twice, so now not so overqualified.
