Kneeling during the National Anthem is as disrespectful of the Flag as kneeling during church is disrespectful of God. 

Why? So that crimes like the murder of Ahmaud Arbery won’t fall under this law. To Rand Paul, a “lynching” only happens when people are hanged from a lamppost (tree will do) by a rope with a crowd of people around. Arbery’s murder was a modern lynching, under the protection of Republican laws.

You nailed it. “Compromising” with Republicans is the same as collaborating with Nazis. This is my problem with Biden. As a country we need divisiveness, we need broad, bold lines. We need an end to the blurred lines of compromise. 

You hit the nail on the head when you describe kneeling as devoid of context. Standing, you must compensate for your heartbeat; prone, you better have a bipod or forget it. Kneeling allows you to breathe and at the same time, take careful aim.

One thing that bothers me is the implication that some protesters are rioting in order to get the police to react. That some folks want to bring about Helter Skelter is frightening and feels very real. But I don’t see any news about it that I trust, so perhaps it will remain just a feeling.
