I think Japan has done a reasonably good job of containing the virus and limiting the deaths.

South-Korea, as you were already explained, managed to keep the economy open because they started to trace the infected people from the day one and succeeded in containing the virus before it’s spread could get too serious. No other country has succeeded in this; Singapore looked like it was getting there, but then…

South Korea started widespread testing on basically day one. That’s the difference. If you know who can spread the virus and have them locked down, you don’t need a lock-down. Lock-downs only happened here because our government dropped the ball MASSIVELY from the get-go.

Because South Korea went to huge lengths to track and test every single person in their country. If you don’t do that then you need to assume everyone is infected.

These are not remotely the same and you know that. In fact, women have largely been seen as “single and alone” when in fact they’ve lived with their “gal pals” for ages.

People have been saying that since at least the 70s, and people keep going to the movies. 2018 was the biggest domestic box office year in history, although inflation and higher ticket prices played into that record. When you include world wide sales, the number of tickets sold truly is higher than ever.

To add some irony to this, I typed all this while sitting on an airplane flying to Barcelona.. so was quite bored. Hence the time to write a response.
