Being the guy who walks the battlefield and is tasked with both indirect fires, rotor and fixed wing attack aviation I will once again say I’ll take an A10 or Apache over ANY strike or multi-role aircraft.

So beating women, raping kids, and limiting access to education aren’t bad things, we just don’t understand them because it’s not our culture. Got it.

Nah, not trying to troll you, I just have plenty of US military experience including watching those cheese eating surrender monkeys at work.

In multiple ways, but none that really matter that much.

True but maybe the F35 teething issues shows that, at least for this plane, it would have been better to stick to one thing. Modularity is all well and good, I guess, but all of the variants have the fattish profile to accommodate the Marine version, so how modular was it in the end?

The inter-service issue is an interesting point, but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal... as long as there is good communication between the branches. And, for the most part, I think such collaboration exists (like the use of SF level USAF forward controllers embedded with army units to coordinate air strikes).

the democrat is strong with this one....can’t even admit the guy is a hero for his service because of party affiliation.

The Skyraider could be catapulted despite having a tail dragger configuration. You could also hitch the two rear wheels to a launch strap (as was done on the phantoms) if a tow bar is out of the question.

The US Navy owns the oceans.

I can never look at that turret and not see a robot chef smoking

They knew we would attempt to look at POVs post airing, IMO. Abraham, Sasha, Glenn or Michonne are my picks - in that order.

There are so many military installations in the Mojave desert it’s not that big of a surprise if you know about Edwards and Nellis and Twenty Nine Palms, but I guess being a Naval base could throw the uninitiated off a bit. If you’re ever at NAWS China Lake/Ridgecrest and need a bite to eat I’d recommend Casa Corona.

Sorry pal, I've been there and have the medals to prove it.

Or you end up on a black project that never truly gets revealed to the public even long after you’re dead, and you can only say on your resume’ that you were responsible for heading up a waste management and trash compacting facility and you live in fear that you might let something slip on accident and get kidnapped

so, they hire you because you are bright and have some great ideas; 5 years later and many millions of money that you made them, gets you a pink slip and a confidentiality for to sign away

Yeah, that’s a problem for so many even in IT and programming. It’s like anything that you concieve or design could be considered theft of trade secrets, etc. etc.

so my question, which is rife in the corporate and learning fields, once you conceive it, it is no longer your idea, it belongs to the employer

The A-10 isn’t ugly though. It’s a wonderfully designed and engineered air-frame for the mission it flies. You can really see the design decisions perfectly articulated in the air-frame. The fullback...not so much. The front of the fuselage looks WAY out of proportion with the rest of the plane. And I just cannot get

Since this seems to be really difficult for you to comprehend, I’ll make it simpler.
