Amen, i havent beaten any of the games, but got a little far into bloodborne. Between work, kids and wife, i just dont have the energy and honestly the combat hasnt even seemed “right” to me. I really loved the worlds and the story, but having to farm souls and learn every step sucks when you only have an hr to play…

This is one of the most level-headed comments I’ve seen from a self-proclaimed Souls fan in a discussion section.

I’m a diehard Souls fan—have been since Demon’s (though I admit, I only picked it up because Penny Arcade’s Tycho blogged about it; I was a fan of PA, years ago).

I would have zero problem with the game including an “easy” mode so that players who do not enjoy the steep learning curve or the overly-aggressive invasion…

As someone who beat Dark Souls - offline - three times, twice legitimately and once with mods... I preferred the one with the mods that made the game “easier”.

Civility and Souls fanboys have a hard time co-existing. I wouldn’t could on it.
