I enjoy some challenge, I don’t enjoy frustration. Whatever soulsborne was available for free download with the PS5, I spent about 20 minutes with it before I realized it wasn’t for me. Before that the first DS got real old, real fast for me.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment

I’d been aware of it for a while, as a name and a vague cover image.

You’re not wrong. I’m glad I clicked on this.

My assumption would be that Tesla teaches its vehicles to operate safely.

It, quite literally, is. I look at video game news roughly once in a blue moon.

Welp, my excitement just went to zero. From the name, I had figured this was something in the lord of the rings mythos, with gameplay at least adjacent to shadow of war/Mordor. Now I find out it’s a soulsborne. At least now I know I can save my money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here’s the difference: if I set my cruise control to 90, I know my car is going to do 90. If I set my FSD to “assertive”, all I know is that my car “may” do a rolling stop. What does that “may” mean? Does that mean it will ask my permission before attempting one? Does that mean it will assess the situation, and then,

After a thorough investigation, the police will find that the deceased (because “victim” is too loaded a word now) was once stopped for jaywalking. There was also a gram of a substance that could have been marijuana found near the scene of the accident. The officer driving the vehicle felt afraid for his life and

What do you mean he won’t? He had to take three whole days of paid leave before they let him come back to work. How much harsher could the consequences be???

All I know is that after a long sweat steady ride with Jess king I feel like I want to die, too.

Oh I completely agree. But this at least gives something for all the “bUt We HaVe To ChAsE bAd GuYs” crowd something to chew on.

This guy gets it

Maybe they just lost the site where the car was located

It’s not trivial, but it’s by no means rocket science. The problems involved are solved, it’s just a matter of integrating them into a solution.

It’s be really cool if there were some means of aerial surveillance that could be deployed. Maybe even discretely, so that the suspect doesn’t know they’re being followed.

Yeah, I mean, at least the police were able to recover the stolen property and nobody got hurt.

I don’t think the “alleged” is necessary. They were wearing uniforms in marked cars, so it’s pretty confirmed.

I get it. You believe a company has no further responsibility than chasing short term profits.

Let’s turn that around: do you believe in any level of corporate responsibility? At what point do companies need to show responsibility to their customers and the communities in which they do business, rather than sole responsibility to chasing short term profits and dividends for shareholders? We use very, very, very
