I’ve reported a man impersonating a federal judge and straight up neo-nazi’s threatening people. In both cases FB said they didn’t violate FB’s standards. Which lead me to conclude that FB has no standards.

You could use a bike trailer or a cargo bike. But, really, what happens is that when you switch to car free or car-lite (I’m car lite) you live a little differently. Shopping for me since, I switched away from using my car all the time, a couple times a week thing where I just stop in for a couple of items. On the…
I’ve lived in flyover country and got around just fine, mostly without my car. Beautiful old apartments that are cheap as hell as well.
I’m in a town of 10K people. It’s a 480' walk from my apartment to the library. Another 2 minutes of walking takes me to the pub or coffee shop. The post offices is about 3 minutes of walking past the pub and coffee shop.
I have a 30 mile round trip commute, for which I walk or bike to a express bus stop near my apartment and then walk or bike a short distance to work. Monthly bus passes are $45, but since I agreed not to drive to work my employer gives me free bus pass.
I’ve been living a “car-lite” life for quite a while in smaller cities that according to Walk Score aren’t very walkable and doing just fine. If you don’t like biking or getting a little rain on you, it’s probably not for you, but it only takes a couple of months to figure things out and make the switch away from…
I own a car. But, I also get a free bus pass from work every month and I’m pretty sure my free pass is cheaper than paying for gas and parking. Even If I paid for the bus pass ($45 a month) it would still be cheaper than gas and parking.
I live in a small town just outside Spokane, WA. My rent on a fairly nice 1 bedroom apartment is $400 a month. My employer, 15 miles away in downtown Spokane, gives me a free bus bus pass every month (their parking garage is all booked up) and there are express buses that run from here to downtown. Prior to moving…
I get a free bus pass from my employer. :-) Even if my pass wasn’t free the cost of the $45 pass would still be way lower than the cost of parking, gas, and wear and tear on my car.
