Detroit was criminally underrated by this particular website. It’s a really cool game, I don’t even remember what Kirk’s problems were with it but they’re largely unfounded or at least not terribly relatable for most. 

They must have remembered that most Americans think soccer is boring and lame. I already own Detroit and Heavy Rain and I still prefer it to a soccer game.

Yeah I’d say at best it’s inspired by Outset. There are a couple key similarities but also enough differences to keep doubt alive.

I expect this will be a popular game but not MEGA-popular like Pokemon Go. It might take a bit for people to become aware of it though, they kinda just threw this out there with very little fanfare. 

I’d advise against level farming. Any time I’ve ever done it I end up bored really, really quickly. A classic example for me is using the command console in Fallout New Vegas. When you take away all the friction, there’s not much left beyond some brief amusement.

There’s still reasonably priced keys for sale on  the grey market sites if you hurry. I did this with Castle of Illusion to great effect.
