It's the thought that counts! Not always, but in this case, yeah, she meant well.

I remember a few people complaining about Gladiator, "well, actually, back then thumbs up and thumb down meant the opposite of what they mean now, and this ruins the entire movie for me".

And jet packs. They both require a ridiculous amount of energy to function, and present massive safety challenges, so I'm confused why so many people viewed them as inevitable.

Seems like a good price. Surely they are using processed cheese product. And garlic? That's a common option? I love garlic but have never tried it on a grilled cheese product sandwich, nor have I ever heard of anyone else doing it. I have lived a sheltered life, it seems. Or, at least a Phish-free life.

In any case I

C'mon, just watch the news, there are plenty of people that are capable of this kind of behavior.

I'm going to the Just For Laughs comedy festival this year, the only other time I was in Montreal I went to that same festival and also saw an Expos game [figuring the team would be here in Washington eventually].

Yes, I tried it last night, and the PS3 tells me I have the most recent version installed already. It has support for the Move controller and 3D. I never tried it with the Move, I figured that was just a gimmick feature, maybe fun for a few minutes but probably less accurate than using the controller. Hey, I have a 3D

Did they actually ever share a scene? I'm willing to believe the answer is "yes", but it's been a looooong time since I watched that film, and I'm picturing them each staying on their own ship the whole time.

There weren't too many pizza joints near Storrs, Connecticut, but I remember going to Shakey's occasionally. I found myself wondering about this, just today, was the name of the restaurant in Ferris Bueller making a sly reference to this chain? Probably not, but … it got me wondering.

Films That Time Forgot

I always thought Cruella was named for a Cadillac Deville, when it's so obvious in retrospect that de Vil = Devil

I've read references to the PS3 game PAIN twice today and now I feel compelled to try again for some of the trophies that I don't yet have [I only have 3]. Though I suspect that after 5 minutes I'll be reminded of how frustrated I got spending hours trying to get all 3 of the sporting balls to fall in the dumpster (or

What I remember about the car crashes is that Princess Diana died in a crash in about the same spot as a crash in this movie and they had to delay the release date.

It bugged me that she listened to music while fighting. Surely it's important to be able to hear bad guys doing things outside of your vision? Or allies shouting warnings / advice?

What would they have done if it had been picked up as a series?
This week's fight takes place in a:
Sheet factory
Chicken processing plant
Snowstorm
The stands at a college football game
The RNC convention

Criterion Collection!

I'm told it sucks, it's stupid, it's the worst of the three … but Parker Posey was so odd, and brilliant! And Ryan Reynolds: I was confused by his choices, and yet I laughed. And yes, Patton Oswalt, wasn't he playing basketball? With Kris Kristofferson? I'm not going to try and defend it as a "good" movie but I'm not

I lent that set to a co-worker … an ex-co-worker … I suppose I should just buy it again.
I think the DVD version is even cheap and also has the pilot to the TV show. But, yeah, Blu-ray.
