Backing this, Prime is lackluster in it’s offerings but technically you can buy or rent everything that isn’t free. That just happens to be most of the things I want to see. Prime’s UI and organization are terrible too, the worst ever. They don’t put seasons of the same show together! You have to hunt for everything

Yup, if I go search right now the only Avengers related stuff that shows up for streaming is some of the crappy cartoons. Everything else is DVD only, if available at all.

I don’t think you’re 100% representing Amazon [Prime] Video here; sure, there’s a ton of complimentary content, but the entire library is not freely watchable with your subscription. A lot of titles, particularly newer ones, have rental fees attached, and (last I used the service) those fees are not advertised to you

Amazon currently has all of modern Doctor Who (and possibly the earlier run) free with Prime. They also offer Orphan Black, but I haven’t looked into much else by the BBC. Both Doctor Who and Orphan black have new episodes available the day after they air, I would imagine other new BBC series are structured the same

Amazons selection is no better than netflix.

Yeah, with all of the licensing issues—and more and more networks creating their own on-demand services—this is just turning into a giant disappointment.

This isn’t going to make me go running for a pitchfork and torch, but certainly is one more nail in the coffin for me and Netflix.
