I saw Paperman at the movies right before Wreck-it Ralph and loved it. Like I said to other people in this thread, I have nothing against 3d-animation on its own. But when its used in anime it just looks terrible as the styles don't mix well.

Agreed. At this point I feel like the series has been running for way too long. Every new chapter is a collection of 30 painstakingly drawn pages, with beautiful artwork that serves absolutely no purpose to further the story.

Yeah, don't know how I feel about that, and it makes me wonder how much he's actually done so far, but it's never a good sign when someone starts begging for attention.

Let me rephrase that:

I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a bit. The first three volumes are downright terrible and serve absolutely no purpose. The story only really begins with volume four. So I can definitely see why someone would not care about it at all after having browsed through volume one at the bookstore. Heck, I know it took me t

Let me make this clear: I have nothing against CG as a technology. I love me some Pixar(-esque), fully 3D-animated movies. But mixing the two mediums always clashes. I have yet to hear about an anime that relied on CG where I couldn't tell it was used.

Someone is working on a translation patch for this. You guys should check it out.

Whether they look good or bad is entirely subjective, but I would argue that CG (at least the stuff we see in anime today) always looks different from traditional animation. Also, I assume that studios don't use it as much as they do because they think it looks particularly good, but because it's easier and cheaper to

I respect your opinion, but I find it alarming that there are anime fans who'd approve of CG usage at all. It always stands out, and, at least to me, breaks immersion because of it. If production studios got more flak for this maybe they wouldn't take the easy way out and release such mediocre crap as often as they do.

There is no way to get CG right. It is always wrong.

Ryu is a teenager in the Alpha series, though I agree: I would love a game about Ryu as a kid.

Sounds like the opening to an 80s movie.

You're way outta line buddy, but I'm still gonna thank you for the chuckle I got out of "the director master"!

Oh my God, I laughed so hard at this. This is EXACTLY how I felt during my numerous playthroughs of the game. Though I'd like to add two things:

Have you considered the possibility that they may just have turned off the LEDs for the second picture? ;D
