First of all thanks for all the replies. Since many of you raise similar points, let me just leave this reply here and address some of what was said.

I don't get how anyone can look forward to this. These games aren't exciting anymore, everyone and their grandma has already played them. Now don't read things I didn't say into my lines, I'm not saying 3DS users are entitled to better free games or anything, just — these aren't any hot, at all.

The SNES had a redesign and while the GBC didn't have one, it itself was a redesign of the GB and GBP (although yes, the system had its own games). Which is not to say I agree with the OP's statement. The Gamecube had the Panasonic Q and the N64 had the N64DD (which was an attachable disk drive, but eh, close enough).

I'll be there! Anyone know of any must-see events/games? I'm just going for the awesome this year, not really interested in specific games so far.
