This is adding retroactive panic to my response to the guy who brought his Burmese python to the beach last week.

ITA except the cop swarm is exactly the wrong way to do this. Sure, call in someone to dispose of medical waste, but the way to find the girl in question is to be discreet. Calling her a "suspect" is absolutely uneeded.

Damn you! I'm gonna need a sleep aid because of this pic but then I'll sleep too hard to wake from my nightmare!! May an ebola infected anaconda visit you in your sleep.

Thanks for the nightmares and for making me buy a flashlight to check under my bed every night now for the rest of my life.

I'm never going to stop crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I used to play bass for Depraved Heart Murder.

I'll go ahead and say both. Azealia Banks totally let the heat she generated with "212" die without a follow up to ride the wave BUT everyone* loves a white girl rapping.

I am torn between appreciation that it's for a worthy cause and irrational hatred of all "performance art".

Good thing no one asked you.

I don't think so at all. The physical burden of the mattress is strenuous, sure. But think of how walking in with a mattress will disrupt every class she goes to. How much room it takes up in an elevator. How it will slow/block traffic on a stairwell. Hell, how many people will be made uncomfortable by asking

I hate that she has to call this an "endurance art piece".

In my world, it's called a protest. Also in my world, watching a rape victim slug around a mattress so the people around her are constantly reminded that something needs to be done is a travesty.

I can't even imagine what her world feels like right now.

I am, and know quite a few ladies who also go to reddit to look at cat pictures and read really good summaries of science news and find interesting documentaries and read feminist subreddits and locate cool craft projects or nifty places to take a vacation or talk about the intricacies of photography. Reddit is a

I thought it was a cool legal move that ScarJo's legal team pulled when her nude pictures surfaced — she copyrighted them, because she was the photographer. Thus distributing them without her consent was illegal.

A "leeked" photo of Jennifer Lawrence:

Eh, I wouldn't go too far down that road of thinking.

Yeah, there are a LOT of folks who seem to think that "free speech" means that you are legally obligated to say every foolish thing that comes into your stupid skull.

This. Just how the hell does that logic of theirs possibly translate? A nude photograph is an owned image: the originator is the owner. And like anything that can be owned, the owner has the rights to dictate how it is used (within the law).

Remember that Boob Song that Seth MacFarlane sang at the Oscars that everyone thought was just so funny and Jennifer Lawrence gave a victory fist pump that nobody saw her boobs yet? Yeah, this is way we didn't think that shit was funny.

I'm also astounded by the "if you don't want everyone to see you nude, don't take nude photos" brigade. Because "if you don't want your belongings stolen, don't have belongings" makes so much sense.

It's very fitting Emma Watson is commenting on this because I heard that a lot of these jerks were requesting nude pictures of Watson. Having a celebrity crush is fine but celebrities are still people. She's right about the lack of empathy and it's shameful.
