The outrage this site shows over Snyder is insane.  They just cannot stand him.

I’m not really a ‘release the cut’ sort of cat, but if they ever come out with it, I’ll probably watch it, just like I’ve watched all the different versions of Blade Runner and do things like try to track down the Director’s Cut of relatively dumb movies like Elektra - just to see what is up with it.

Ah, yes. I see the usual suspects are already flaming in the comments, seemingly being bothered by people being... fans of movies they don’t like, I guess?

Difference is he understands the character.

How about no? How about he does whatever he wants because he is good at it?

Still the best live-action iteration of Superman.

involve dialogue improvements from Avengers director Josh Whedon

Snyder had to step aside after his daughter committed suicide

But he’s not.

I still say Lucas was on to something when he had Anakin slaughter the Tuskens and then not totally be guilty about it.

Easily the best scene for what you’re describing is in BvS where Clark has a crisis of faith in Superman and flies off, goes to the mountaintop and has a chat with dad. The story that Kent tells about saving his farm with heroic effort, and the unintended consequence of that heroism meaning the Lang farm was

This conversation isn’t even worth having, your obviously passionate in your view. Maybe even beyond logic. Good day.

The scenes of his childhood weren’t tethered to the character? That’s... no, just no. Especially as a father, the connections were as clear as day and resonated.

I agree that American Alien is a great Superman Series but stop dragging down Man of Steel & BvS. You might have not liked the movie but many of us, kotaku readers, enjoyed it. I enjoy most versions of Superman without a problem.

Don’t blame the movie because you couldn’t understand it.

Can we stop talking about how bad the prequels were? It's getting old.

What part is nonsense? You think Tony Jaa was parrying/evading as much as Darth Maul? Because that's the only point I made. Anything else is a straw man you put up.

I really don't give a shit. For all its problems, this scene was absolutely breathtaking when I saw Phantom Menace in the theaters, and I've seen it recently and it STILL gets me pumped.

This is laughable. You could pick apart every single Hollywood fight scene.
