This is pretty low. A cover letter is supposed to help you show the hiring manager what you can bring to a new job, and this woman wants to use skills she's gained in the past to be a victim advocate in the future. This is probably an entry level job for her, or she'd be talkinga bout her criminal justice experience.

I came back from the doctor and said I probably couldn't get pregnant without a lot of help - help I've decided I didn't want. He hugged me, said it was OK, and asked me to marry him. Right there, in the hallway, with a litter box not 2 feet away. I said no.

I completely agree that's its a bullshit holiday but since it's on a Saturday this year my husband and I are ditching the kids, getting massages, having dinner and staying in a hotel. Next year we'll go back to ignoring it.

Yeah I'm kinda bummed bc you know it's gonna end up a typical rom com. Still gonna see it.

I cannot wait for this!!!

Good Jennifer Crusie adaptations...with people who can pull off the goofball humor and snappy dialogue. We don't need more bad book adaptations, IMHO.

omg. Give me Jennifer Crusie adaptations ALL DAY LONG PLEASE.

Sometimes it helps to look at the same type of scenario with a non-sexual action:

"Overall, not believing in God seems to make people and their offspring more tolerant. Less racist. Less sexist. Enviro-friendly."

And sometimes humans like to wear nice clothes, even designer clothes! Stone 'em!

The being well-educated thing is a MAJOR factor. It's called the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Because they are educated in one area, they feel they are able to educate themselves in another area and are more likely to rate themselves as knowledgeable on a given topic than would an actual expert in a relevant field. Now,

It tends not to just be this one topic. People who are anti-vaccine are more likely to believe in other health conspiracies (i.e. there is a cure for cancer available but business interests are stopping it, GMOs cause disease). As for why, there are a lot of cognitive things that go on to keep people in these world

I have a theory that it is linked to a kind of eating disorder. The anti vaxers I know are hyper concerned about what they and their family eat...raw food only for a time, then gluten free, all organic, juice cleanses to "purge the toxins," whatever "super food" is trending. It is like they channel all their anxiety

I think it boils down to this:

There's been quite a bit in the last few years showing that chiropractic has no scientific basis (other then a couple of studies showing its effective for lower back pain).

Its not Polio. It's a subluxation.

Testicular asphyxiation - the silent killer.
