It's not just fresh; it's hilarious.

This book is amazing. I found it a few years ago and had my husband and sons read it. I've given it to my nephews as well. I really hope this movie doesn't screw it up.

Red Rising, by Pierce Brown. It's incredible, will be famous soon, and is up there with Harry Potter, Hunger Games, LOTR, and Ender's Game. Read it now before everyone else discovers it! Also, if you have a kindle it's really cheap at amazon right now.

This! My husband took 12 weeks off with the baby after m maternity leave, and it made all the difference to our family. He has always been a confident, loving, equally involved dad, and our marriage has been based on equality ever since,

Oh, I was looking at him, believe me.

We each have our own space in our house, and it's key. We are both independent first-born introverts who like being alone, so separate spaces are crucial. Works beautifully for us.

I love this movie. I love this trailer. And I kinda love Jezebel, too. Gosh, one glass of wine and I get all maudlin.

Nope. We should RECLAIM the word bossy. I say this as a woman who was a bossy big sister as a kid, and is probably still bossy. Let's make it mean something kickass, and let's wear that descriptor proudly instead of banning it. Because maybe if you try to stamp out the word, in some way you might be trying to

I don't have HBO so I've never seen Girls, and can't say a thing about it. But I do love the fact that Lena Dunham has become an important person in pop culture with her wonderfully imperfect body. For that, I appreciate her. Unattractive and/or overweight men are all over the entertainment world, and nobody thinks

I agree! I was thrilled when boxer briefs came along.

If I went back on the pill I wouldn't ovulate, and then I wouldn't get to experience what comes along with ovulation, so I'll just keep on keeping on. But I'm glad it's working for you.

Not-squeamish mother of teen boys here. I do not hide my period garbage in the master bathroom; I keep my tampons and pads in a bathroom we all use. I mention that I have my period, or that I have cramps and need to lie down, and they know that my migraines are mostly brought on by my period. They are not particularly

I never experienced the day two phenomenon until I turned forty. My husband knows that I won't be my normal self that day because I'll just be so fucking tired.

I'm really excited for this, and am thrilled with the non-all-white casting. More movies like this, please, and while we're at it, let's get Lupita Nyong'o in a great romantic comedy, an action flick where she's the hero, and a drama, STAT!

I don't even understand the Dove commercials. They mention the color of the pits, and something about how we shave off skin when we shave our pits, which is supposed to be gross. But shaving your legs exfoliates them, so why wouldn't shaving pits do the same? I just do not get what the problem is supposed to be.

And every woman wants to call every sexual encounter sexual assault? Yeah, right.

Oh blah blah blah. I used the male pronoun, but that doesn't mean that I don't think women can be rapists, obviously. It's more likely that a rapist will be male is all.

I went to visit Princeton as a junior in high school, because my father went there. He hated it, so I'm not sure why he wanted me to visit. Anyway, the student who took me around campus kept talking about all her drug trips, which freaked me out, as I was pretty sheltered back then. I viewed Princeton as a den of

What you say about having education be part of the process makes sense. On the other hand, rape is a crime. I'd say that when a student commits a crime of violence like this, he's crossed a line from having educational repercussions to having legal repercussions (not to mention forgoing the right to continue being a

Nope. The fact that he's a feminist helps, as does the fact that he is sensible, kind, smart, and empathetic. Also, I am not worried about an "absurd standard of sexual misconduct" because I don't think that exists.
