I recently purchased a mk7 GTI. Test drove both a DSG & 6MT. Have to say that the DSG bizarrely felt like a manual in how it shifted. Really changed my opinion of it and made me question the advantages of a manual. They’re still lighter and less complex but nowhere near as fast. Ultimately I went with the 6MT because

I have to say, despite possibly having bodywork, The DMC-12 looks pretty sweet in rosso corsa. Never was much of a fan of the original unpainted stainless. And the condition of this one is impeccable for it’s age. But that price is CP for sure. It’s priced for a collector, but I doubt such a buyer would want a painted

I’ll admit that it’s not a consumer-grade setup but cable modem -> SonicWall TZ205 -> 3 Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LR’s = perfect.

So the guy is publicly trying to game the buyback process by bending the definition of a legal condition and I’m supposed to be shocked that VW called him out on it?

Not going to lie, it seems like a fun car...BFG slicks, baby-supercharger, lsd, 5-speed, rwd. But 200+K on the odo kinda does it for me. Given the mods, those are some hard miles no doubt. It will need some serious work very soon I imagine.

As dumb as it sounds, this was a norm not that long ago. Just sounds like a leftover habit to me. I studied law enforcement in high school and did many ride-along’s and details at events where roads were blocked and patrol cars were left idling for long periods of time. Deputies were advised to keep the hood open to

The octane fuel that the manufacturer recommends should be looked at as a MINIMUM requirement not an absolute... To say people are wasting money is misleading.

Once you see the shift pattern it makes complete sense what’s going on. But the video seems backwards from how I thought it worked though. I would have expected a 1-5 shift in low, repeat in direct, followed by hi. Odd.

There are two on a lot around my town — been there for months. I’m in the market for a fun mid-range performance car so i checked em out. Sticker was 40K!? And no Recaros? Now I know why... I’ve heard of a few dealers putting 10K markup on these too. Yikes.

Ugh...CP when it fresh off the boat. Nostalgia ain’t gonna change that.

The real reason they’re not hitting their sales number is because the Model X is butt ugly. Base msrp is not the issue. Saw one the other day and the proportions are no bueno...this thing makes a Crosstour look good. And frankly, I think the much hyped falcon doors look completely gimmicky and ostentatious.

The duoselect makes this car instant CP. I’ve heard horror stories about the clutches...they last something like 18-20k miles and cost north of $4K to replace. You definitely need to set some coin aside for annual maintenance. Cheap luxury cars ain’t cheap!

NP.

Oi, can someone just remove the NP poll option? The only thing it’s missing is a dope spoiler to keep da powa down, son!

Ugh...well it IS Kendall after all. It’s basically where the people from Opa Locka/Hialeah or Little Havana go after they finally move out of abeula’s house. It’s the arm pit of South Miami. Traffic there is awful at all hours of the day/week and everyone seems to act like they’re ‘somebody’. Trust me, this kind of

I wouldn’t ordinarily NP someone else’s project, but this one is straight up Jalopnik. Would hoon. NP!

I personally wouldn’t drop this much on one because I really don’t find them that interesting. But it’s NP actually. It’s a decently clean example and asking price is within market range for these things nowadays. 15K isn’t unheard of either.
