Because it's NOT actually easier to repair and it's performance is awful by comparison

Now can we do something about all the assholes who drive with their high beans on?

Yep. +1  BaT is only good for jacking up prices on fun cars.

Possibly 5 elephants, even.

Maybe the driver had a long day. Maybe they weren’t feeling well after lunch. Maybe they were distracted or forgetful for any number of totally normal, HUMAN reasons.

You weren't going to buy it anyway.

Based on the atrocious grammar and spelling on Jalopnik, I sometimes wonder if they’re all even real people or if some are just poorly-programmed Writer-bots.

ibRAD? ubRUDE

The Internet is the same as car journalists: Everyone is 6'4" and forever reminding you about it.

Did you even look at this at all before you got bigmad? Besides, I can’t even imagine any insurance company reducing coverage and charging you less unless you asked them to.  And if they did that, they won’t have any proof of authorization, so.... lawyer time?  No gofundme needed.

That guy can lawyer up. He doesn’t need a gofundme. Also: why would an insurance company reduce your insurance without asking? They have every incentive to take more of your money! 😅 Story is fishy, too, so.. no. He can get a lawyer.

Youre projecting a ton of unknown factors onto a hypothetical situation because you have a conformation bias.

He blew $9k on upgrades.  It sucks but he doesn't need a gofundme

Capitalism

You were never going to buy one even if it had a stick.  And Lotus is Lotus. No Lotus is a successor to any MR2, either.  That's wishful thinking at best.

As an MR2 owner, I couldn’t care less about Toyota. At least Chrysler is still building fun cars. Toyota had to borrow Subaru and BMW. Brands are dumb. Loyalty not required.   Toyota doesn't care about us, lol

Torch is a fun writer but he, like most Internet car people, tends to use British slang and terms frequently.  Also see: saying “a bit”

Hey guy, it’s just a bit. Plus it’s interesting in a “fun facts” kind of way.. which absolutely builds up curiosity as well as knowledge.

Fucjin bravo, sir. bra-VO ^_^

Thank you for taking a moment to point out that high gas prices are a textbook example of capitalism.
