Ah! Yes, Golden State's failure is just like a tragic earthquake that killed people who were just trying to commute! Perfect analogy, Drew.
Jalopnik is doing a wonderful job of advertising and helping launch RICH Energy in the USandA!
I’m not in a union, but i’ll say this: Even if that gives him protections, they’re far more valuable to everyone as a whole even if some people abuse it. The problem is shitty human beings, not unions.
People in bougie suburbs are the ones driving stupid long commutes. The whole thing is absurd and comes down to Americans being greedy weirdos who demand giant houses, 4 kids and are also strangly fine with driving an hour each way for work.
But your cars are also disproportionately belching soot/CO2, which is bad. Even a sweet-ass bluetech Benz. It only works if not too many people do it.
This is the real problem for EVs. America expects to have stupid commutes like that. Weaning people off of spending 2-3 hours/day driving around is going to be the hardest part. It's an absolute waste for anyone to drive more than 30 minutes for work... And even then....
Thankful to see an insightful post admist all the whiny yammering.
