A 4-door Z car is the ONLY way a Maxima will ever actually be a “4 Door Sports Car” - Bingo!
Still not a “4 Door Sports Car” - This has always been marketing bullshit and in the 21st century, it’s been perpetuated by kids who got some crapbox 4-door 90s blob as their first car but saw that stupid sticker on the window.
The Maxima and its “4DSC” crap has always been a lie. You liked it because it was your first car and pretty much all gearheads think fondly of their first cars, no matter how crappy and stupid they were as performance vehicles.
In before a Drew Magary “I know football is the devil and is a corporate sell-out sport that takes advantage of and hurts people for profit, but I LOVE MY FOOTBALL LOOK AT ME TYPE IN CAPS!” post.
It doesn’t make him any less right, especially given that Samer is the one who made the post.
Samer Kalaf.
As a Padres fan, I was truly surprised.
Oops! So I was wrong about the Datsun thing. It’s still been Nissan for a zillion years.. and I’m still right about the only people who care about the brand name “Datsun” being people who bought cheap crapcans or who are retro hipsters.
I am all in favor of engine swaps that piss off purists... I don’t think they happen often enough, as a matter of fact.
Only Americans who bought cheap crapcans in the 70s and early 80s are even aware of Datsun, not counting hipster retro-lovers. Nevermind that Datsun was a brand name created -by- Nissan so that they could enter the American marketplace..
Lancer Evolution GT-R?
2007MY with silver front 1/4 panel V8 badges. That’s the 4.7L 2UZFE. The V6 is a timing chain and both the newer 4.6L and 5.7L V8s have chains too.
Ok, great!
Indeed.
Because she’s not? or.. is she?

It’s very much a pot/kettle scenario.
Slow news day? Slow news day. BMW-built Mini Coopers have always been hipster malarkey! The entire brand revival is based on nostalgia.
Okay!
