I was watching this game live when the CBS talking heads went into their anti-2-point tirade.. I nearly puked.

So who's going to be first in line to trust their personal liability to the machine? And how much is AAA going to want per month to insure such a machine in operation on public roads with mostly manually operated cars?
Good grief.
I drive about 300 miles per month. 15mpg or 45mpg.. doesn't make much difference to me. If you're a moron with a 20 mile one-way commute.. sure.. And I'm laughing at your lifestyle choices every time I fill up my gas tank.
I've read some sci-fi where it was illegal to operate a car in a city on manual controls.. I can see that happening.. and really not caring a whole lot about it. City driving is awful anyway.
ouch
I love it when show-boaters get smacked around a bit. NFL games are harder and harder to watch these days, as every tatted-up idiot has to do some sort of strange dance in celebration of each and every tackle. Why not just celebrate/be happy?
Question: If a self-driving car crashes.. who is liable in a court of law? Is it the driver? The manufacturer? The software developer? All of the above?
I am looking forward to enjoying our roadways more, with drivers who are incapable or don't care no longer affecting my activities. It's a win-win for everyone.. Those of us who are capable and enjoy driving will be able to continue doing so without as many harmful influences from the masses who simply use cars to…
No, I really was/am curious. I mostly just watch ballgames. Yeah, I read Deadspin and other sites here and there, but I don't monitor them 24/7. I hadn't really looked much at Deadspin in a few days/couple weeks and saw all the Cardinal-bashing. It was confusing :P
Where did this come from? I dont' get it.. maybe it's because I don't spend a lot of time watching sports media/reading recaps/blogs/etc... I just sort of.. watch ball games and listen to games on radio (MLB.tv! Hell yes!) without any other context?
No, that's okay. I was mostly referencing a lot of the anti-Cardinals stories posted on Deadspin lately as well as the varied commentary on those posts. I'm honestly confused by it all.
It's confusing, yeah. I'm totally lost as to why Deadspin's so anti-Cardinals. It's.. just weird. It's not like Cards fans are like Raider Nation or spoiled Yankees fans... or anyone who actually likes an NBA fanchise.. *head scratch*
Bear in mind I've dealt with Dodgers fans at live Padres games for my entire baseball life. They're f***ing miserable and I wish nothing but continued failure on their $200M monstrosity.
Thank you for writing a thoughtful WS preview, despite the negative rhetoric in the headline and opening intro.
Cue continued preemptive Deadspin-based bitching about Cardinals fans in 3...2..1...
I guess I missed it. Why does Deadspin hate the Cardinals, exactly? I suffered through Puigmania all year as a west coast baseball fan (lots of Giants and Padres games on TV).. I'm kind of glad to see New York West out of the picture.
I find comfort in the fact that I am not the only one who can't stand John Davis and is horribly befuddled by the fact that he gets to review cars for a living.
Your username is appropriate, sir. Originality is dumb. Collecting things is dumb, too. I think it's awesome that he wants to make the car functional instead of cinematic eye candy!
IT'S A SERIES OF TUBES!!!!!!
