Deuce and a half is almost always the right answer.

Compression in a diesel motor is much much higher... The gasoline will pre-detonate well before the piston reaches top dead center. It’s like engine knock from hell.

As the owner of two diesels, I am always afraid that someone will accidentally put gasoline in my car or truck, just by not paying attention. Please write up an article on what to do in this reverse situation…

There is only one equation for HP. What you are talking about are correction factors for altitude and power train losses, ect. I personally don’t believe any number that isn’t the raw uncorrected WHP number.
