I hadn't heard that information, thank you for the update. That picture was taken circa May 2009, I hadn't realized how many years have passed since Tom and I crossed paths.

One is still raced here in CA, it's the same one featured on the cover of the 50th anniversary print for Road & Track. Seen it, sat in it. Owner is a family friend and a great gentleman racer that really appreciates his car.

the housing sticks out plus you have THIS sticking straight out even further

thats a 08+ its not the same, they use a different key then and the housing is recessed into the dash whereas the 05-07 actually protrudes from the dash. I'm a self taught WK expert ask me anything about the 05-10 Grand Cherokee

Real question: how heavy are the doors? Do the hinges hold the door open when pushed w one hand? My mom has an Rx, my dad is disabled. Their lease is up soon and I'm trying to get them in this. Easy entry and manageable/strong door hinges are a top priority. Thank you for your response!
