It’s not that I’m opposed to the idea of stylised pop-culture toys like Funko Pops, but the ones I’ve seen just look so cheap. Lightweight, slightly shabbily painted... that said, if I didn’t limit my pop-culture intake to Lego I’d be struggling over that Dva one.

Are you suggesting I’m dismissing the entire game based on my dislike of how they handled this one song? Because I never said that. Don’t extrapolate an opinion on the whole from opinion on the part.

What’s your point? If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Pointing out price doesn’t magically ameliorate the issue. It might explain it, but it doesn’t make the execution any better.

But the end result is that a song that supposedly has lyrics just comes off as this slightly naff half-measure. A better approach might have been, say, Animal-Crossing esque tones to give us a sense of pitch and singing on the animals’ part. It’s hard to sing along to a song when we’re not given much guidance on how

To be honest I think the scene would have worked a lot better with actual vocals, rather than mere lyrics.

For me the Ghostbusters stuff beats out the Lego range in terms of sheer variety. That we never got an official Lego Stay-Puft marshmallow man (or terror dogs) is nothing short of a travesty.

The problem with toys-to-life games (and connected play) is that ultimately the toy aspect of the game is entirely contrived, and a little cynical (I’m looking at you, Lego Dimensions characters with like 3 abilities.) There’s no reason you couldn’t replicate 90% of the game mechanics without having figures you need

I was sure Charizard was a Fire type...

I agree; Puyo Puyo Tetris looks like a fantastic handheld title, and one I’d definitely buy on Switch over PS4.

The new series (which this Mikey avatar comes from) has him using a kusarigama, or chain-sickle, a lot, which was apparently a common ninja weapon. At least within the first season, it’s a smarter show than you might give it credit for.

As I recall, they shifted the focus from nunchucks to his grappling hook. Apparently there was a pretty big anti-ninja sentiment in the UK at the time, but don’t quote me on that.

They were also prohibited from showing Mikey’s nunchucks in the UK release.

I really hope that kickstand is sturdily constructed because so far it looks fragile as heck.

Late last year my family and I visited a family attraction with a bunch of old arcade games. It was a fantastic experience; Sega’s Desert Tank arcade game was a particular highlight. They even had old Star Wars & Hero Turtles arcade machines as well.

If I extrapolate from my own handiness I would probably engulf my lower body in flames. Regardless, I appreciate the advice.

I would go one step further and argue that almost all of the adventure worlds could have been executed better. There’s not enough differentiation in the tasks you perform in each world, and they succeed more on the strength of their cultural references more than interesting gameplay mechanics. What gameplay mechanics

That sounds like a royal pain. I’m tempted to try shaving rather than merely trimming down there, but I’ve had some bad experiences with hair removal in the past and don’t trust myself not to screw it up.

For the record, this is probably one of the most horrifying things I have ever read. You have my sympathy, for what it’s worth.

The point of Black History Month (as I understand it) is to highlight achievements by black people that might otherwise be overshadowed, forgotten or outright dismissed. It’s disingenuous to say we don’t have a white history month when the achievements of white people are (I’m assuming) far more widely known than

Because.... America? It does seem pretty tone-deaf (and disingenuous) to ignore the whole ‘Black History Month’ thing that’s going on.
