In the real world, I am a Hess. In that, it’s my name. Not related to Leon, though. Every time I visited the East Coast, I always felt obliged to visit a Hess station, and ask for a family discount. Never got one.

Neal couldn’t even take his lyrics seriously.

Why not set it during a young Captain Picard’s time on the Stargazer? Or a more Star Wars-ian movie set during the Earth-Romulan War? Or with a brand new crew on the Enterprise-F (or G, H, I...)?

It could have worked during the Civil War if the people who were drafted weren’t fresh off the boat from Belfast.

You have to remember that despite possessing the world’s ultimate destructive weapon, they haven’t been used since August 1945. They weren’t used in China during the Korean War. There were no missiles fired from Cuba or Turkey in 1962. There was no exchange in Western Europe or fallout in Eastern Europe, and there

Personally, I’ve always liked my bards to be spoony.

It’s the last movie of a trilogy of trilogies. It has to tie up all the lose ends developed over the past 8 movies and then bring the whole story to a close. Most people have never heard of them (though they’ve certainly HEARD them in a tv show, movie, or what have you), but Cinematic Orchestra’s To Believe deserves more recognition. Easily the best I’ve heard this year.

If Hyperloop is a realistic and serious endeavour, the place to build it would be under the ocean, between New York and Paris or London.

Lightning isn’t Cloud.

Is it me, or is the Point Nemo one not as impressive as it looks. The ISS orbits at around 254 miles... so I think that fact is true for most of the ocean?

Costco is the only station where I use my card (because I have to!). Otherwise, I’ve signed up for as many non-contact payment options as I can. Speedy Pay, ExxonMobil, and Shell in particular.
