I’m not saying you’re wrong about how one would feel as a cast member, but this a thing that has happened on SNL forever, particularly with former cast members who come back to reprise a character - Dana Carvey’s GWHB, Darrell Hammond’s Clinton, Will Ferrell’s GWB, etc.
