I drove the Hana highway in a rental Jeep with brakes that started screeching about a third of the way through. Say what you will about it being medium-level difficulty (and you’re right) but try it with 80 or so dB of EEEEEEEEEEEE for an hour and a half. I have PTSD from it.

All joking aside, that is fucking brutal. No way do those kids not think the game is over. I don’t know if there’s an appeal process, but they should press for a second look for sure.
