Disagree on burgers - some places serve a big ass burger, and my wife and I will sometimes split one and an appetizer. The kitchen will happily cut it for you if you ask most of the time. If slicing yourself, always maintain firm (not too firm) downward pressure on the bun as you slice with a steak knife.
