It’s for the OS, specifically memory. Helps to clear up the RAM, as some programs don’t truly close and can slow down performance over time. As OSes have gotten better at memory management, it’s probably become less necessary, but can’t hurt.

Various places over the years, Samsung - their phones built in diagnostics app remind you to do so for optimum performance. Not sure how much it does, but cant hurt.

It’s a good idea to power cycle your phone/tablet every week or so, but it’s not mandatory. Power management on phones is getting so good that they are basically off at night anyhow. Better to keep it on for updates or emergencies.

Was cross-shopping this with the Stinger, and was also coming out of a Q50 (my wife’s). I definitely like the looks of the Arteon, but the delays pretty much killed it for me. Nail in the coffin was hearing about the powertrain.

But does it pass the visor test..?!

Subaru Forester. I just leased one for my wife, and its an amazing car. Rides super smooth, very roomy and comfy interior, all the doodads, great mpg, high resale, great price...I could go on. Also comes with 2 years included maintenance.

If gas prices continue to climb in California this Summer, auto makers better be prepared for even more hurt.

$2600 out the door (including 1st month), $610/mo including taxes. Comes to about a little under $24k total. Sticker is $51600. Beats the website by a few thousand if you use their payment estimator. Its not a small amount, but no $50k car will be.  This is in CA, btw.

He’s not lying!

Good to know.  Thanks!

Of course. Just noting that my experience also happened to be with a Chevy dealer. Some brands definitely have worse/better reps than others, but ultimately its the dealer. Had it been purely based on brand, wouldn’t be able to get a better deal at a different dealer from the same make.

Uhhh...I’m out.

Hey Tom,

Funny because this mirrors me in a lot of ways. I leased a Volt at the Chevy dealer 5 minutes away, got a decent price and money for my trade-in. Fast forward 3 years when I got a Camaro somewhere else, because they are so far off the mark it isn’t even funny.

Do make sure and apply yourself then. No half-assing!

What?  Don’t be an ass.

Well that’s gross!  Haven’t been in a few years, didn’t hear about that one.

Should be, but it’s usually made with pastrami in so many spots now. With no signifier I assumed pastrami. But a fair point!

You’re all kinds of mixed up, buddy.

While pastrami (and the Reuben...) are there to rep for the deli sammich, I can’t abide there being no corned beef on this list. Nothing like going to Canter’s Deli (yes, yes...I know Greenblatt’s is better...) in LA at 3am and stuffing yourself with corned beef, 1000 pickles, and a Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray.
