Well, shit. Glad I quit playing WoW last year. Ysera’s always been my favorite of the Aspect dragons.

I also loved Myst. I still have my “Journal of Myst” that came with the game, and it’s got my notes and drawings from when I first played the game as a kid.

“You are a hermit on an island.”

I’d be willing to bet that 2 years of Verizon service will counteract the value of the $100 giftcard and free Chromecast.

Re: article update

I agree with the sentiment, but I disagree with how the problem has been “solved.” As an example, Diablo 2 was (is?) a pretty great lootgrind game, but its main failing (other than dupe hacks) was that the only way to earn better gear was running the same couple of bosses over and over and over.

Nail on the head. Those who have already benefitted from the farm will still keep their benefits, and those of us who did not benefit (either by choice or by simply not getting a chance to) are stuck with the restrictor-plate rewards system there was before.

Destiny 2 sounds like it could be neat, but what I’d really like is a Borderlands 3... and I want both couch co-op and cross-platform co-op.

Oh, I hope to heck they do make it cross-platform. I just think that PvP should be controller-segregated. For teaming up with others, though, there’s no (good) reason to prevent us from playing with our friends regardless of platform.

Will it have separate volume sliders for voice, music, and sound? :p

I feel that this tidbit of information is going to get a lot of Winstons blown up.

Duplicate heroes on a team needs to be relegated to Custom games only.

Strategy is fine, but when it comes to pvp there needs to be some variation in terms of viable strategies, and every dominant strategy needs to have a good counter. If the solution to using a bunch of tanks if the other team doing the exact same team, then that’s poorly balanced pvp and needs to be changed.

Does that stop mid-game swaps though? You could break that right out of the gate by just tapping H as soon as you spawn in, before the doors open

This is partially related, but more than anything else just venting - I really, really wish that Blizzard would put some sort of limit on using duplicates of the same character in quick play. I don’t know what it’s like on PC or XB1, but on PS4 it seems like practically every other time I jump into a quick play match,

If everyone is using the same strategy then it makes sense that Blizz would want to change it. They are looking for balance among different setups. If one setup has too much power, then buffing/nerfing makes sense. I will admit that I would like to see them buffing the counters more than nerfing characters though.

Well, it’s partly because people doing that is just unfun as hell for everyone else that isn’t using the flavor of the month.

Yeah! This sort of opinion is unwelcome here!

It isn’t an SJW issue, there are women being molested in the smash community and it is widely reported, including here on Kotaku. In particular there was a huge push back against people trying to talk about sexual assault and confronting the issue.
