Yea now that I think of it I'm pretty sure I did see the last Dark Knight movie in IMAX non-3D. That was pretty sweet.

"IMAX is the new 3D"

The screenshot is from "Silicon Valley" - in the episode they were clearly lampooning the Facebook-Choe mural by having the startup at the center of the show commission a street artist named "Chuy" to design their new logo - and the artist asks to be paid in stock instead of cash. Hilarious show, you should watch.

1st draft of his mural:

Seriously, there's no real good reason to have both except to show off. I wonder if he gets a text and four different devices start going off?...

Have you had a chance to try Golite's Jam packs? Also made with Dyneema fabric (which is a component of Cuben if I recall); I think it's water resistant but maybe not quite as much as the HMG. $130 for 70L 1lb 15 oz is pretty enticing though.

Jail for going 80 or 90? I agree, that's crazy. But for 130 mph on public roads? I might be ok with a little bit of jail time.

My wife caught a reckless driving charge just across the NC border on I-85 for going 82 mph (right after the limit dropped from 70 to 65). Luckily the lawyer we hired was able to get it down to a non-moving violation (after a hefty fine, of course), so it was a pricey affair but didn't cause any points on her license,

Does your job involve being on tv in front of millions of people every week? It's not required by law for them to punish him or anything, but they do it because it's in their best self interest, PR-wise.

Yea they definitely get demerits for being so slow to roll it out, but at least it seems to be quite the improvement on their network. I hung on for years with the shoddy service because of a cheap plan + GV integration + using their Airave for service in my house, so I'm glad it looks like I don't have to think about

Do you have MMS auto-retrieve enabled under Settings>SMS>Advanced (in the Hangouts app)?

Good to know; thankfully Sprint finally upgraded to a strong LTE network in my area so I'll probably stick w/ them for a while. I'm a little worried that when (if) Google rolls Voice into Hangouts that Sprint integration will get messed up.

and I still can't get MMS. Plus, I can't really use just about any alternative SMS app without a complex workaround that involves cluttering up my Contacts. It's worked well enough, but it's just as much of a hassle to stay with GV these days as it is to leave.

Definitely! You can get great deals on renting a house on VRBO or other similar sites after Labor Day or so. Just keep an eye on the hurricane forecast!

"Energy can be purchased with K stars. They are incredibly hard to earn, typically through leveling up or "Achievements," which is when you perform especially well in categories like "Vanity" (when you check your makeup), "Spotlight" (when you check your lighting), or "Glam" (when you shop)."

Me too, I'm already using Hangouts for SMS/MMS ... might as well roll voicemail in as well. My only worry is that my cell # is my GV # (with Sprint/GV integration), so they really better not fuck that up when making the switch.

I still use Yahoo for my personal email because I've had the address for almost 15 years and am an old curmudgeon and don't want to bother changing (it's still spam-free and there isn't anything 'wrong' enough to force me to Gmail, which I use for work). Also their weather and sports apps are actually quite nice.

471 is a double IPA. Their standard single IPA, "Lucky U", is pretty good too.

Did you try Avery's IPA? I think it has pretty wide distribution.
