On a recent hiking trip, I used my point-and-shoot (a fairly basic Canon) and my phone (EVO 4G LTE), and in a lot of situations the phone held up well. Here's one (note - I was messing w/ HTC's HDR mode for this shot, but others w/o 'normal' processing look good as well) from my phone, not bad at all. Honestly unless

They have NES (and all the classic game systems) emulators for Android on the PLay Store, and I think you can get them on the iPhone if jailbroken.

I just sold a slow-as-shit iPad 1 base model for $160 on Ebay. Looks like the iPad 2's are going for at least $300. Sure, it's convenient to trade in @ BB ... but put 1/2 hr of effort to list and ship the thing and you can get a lot more cash.

Vince Gilligan is making the rounds, 2 panels!

Ouch. Although my wife has about $85k in grad loans @ 6.8% ... so I feel (~86%) of your pain.

Looks like SC&P's work really goes downhill in the 1970's without Don heading up creative.

Just the new loans.

Graduate/professional students : Rates have been at stuck @ 6.8% since 2006-2007... so yea, no change.

Now playing

Was going to say the same thing, I'm pretty sure Cannondale has their lefty design patented. If this company was smart they would've licensed the relevant technology (if possible).

When I go hiking sometimes I'll download the map of the area I'm heading to ... up in the backcountry there's usually no data signal, but you can get a GPS fix, so you can still see where you are on the map. There are paid apps that do this better, but for a basic free solution it's pretty nice

Well, the food of a certain god at least.

Indeed. And of course, he's great in The Wire as well.

You're right, they are the type of place that tend to attract Denver's bountiful hipster population. Still, I had a fun enough time, if not truly immersed in geekiness.

Yea it is definitely dependent on the model. I sold my Nexus S for ~$150 last year (it'd be less now), while buying a used EVO 4G LTE for only $75 more than that, and we'll probably sell my wife's iPhone 4s this year for a decent amount (at least $200 - iPhones definitely retain more value on the used market compared

"However, since we're several generations in with smartphones now, we all have old smartphones laying around."

It's been mentioned, but I'll always have use for this guy, and will definitely buy another if the one I own finally breaks down.

Say your Sansa Clip bit the dust tomorrow, would you buy another one?
