Doesn't Hulu+ has a lot of network content? You can buy a lot of cable and network episodes from Amazon as they air (and some free later if you have Prime). Also, PBS has a Roku app coming out:

Pretty much my story too. Legal methods of streaming/downloading content have become convenient, and high quality.

We just signed a lease for a 100+ year old house with this provision. Apparently tampon flushing keeps a lot of landlords up at night.

I see your Spector, and raise you a Pacino-Spector!

When I finally made the switch to clipless on my mountain bike years ago the difference was night and day. Especially for technical/steep hill climbs, so much improvement. And after some initial spills where I couldn't release, clipping out has become a reflex.

No thanks? ... The article wasn't endorsing any particular style of clipless pedals, just to use them in general. I'd imagine Crank Bros would be included in the recommendation.

I have an EVO 4G LTE, no battery issues at all. There have even been days where my wife's iPhone 4s died before mine when we were traveling.

Went w/ the EVO LTE as well, and haven't regretted it. Might end up getting the One this year, we'll see. I really like HTC's hardware.

Life would be pretty fucking boring if we all did only what was absolutely necessary.

And what exactly is wrong with wearing a watch as fashion accessory? People choose shoes to fit a certain fashion sense, wear jewelry, do their hair a certain way, buy glasses of a certain style ...

Seriously. Just put me in a coffee can and be done with me.

Yet another reason to avoid private student loans at all costs!

I've only resigned from one job ... so small sample size here. But they were more than happy to let me stay on those 2+ weeks to tie up loose ends with projects and transition them to other employees. I think if I were to resign from my current job it would be a similar situation. I guess I'm glad I've never worked

Jobs in the US typically don't have contracts ... so your employer can fire you at will, and you can resign at will.

Student loans? Don't those go away when you die?

Going 5 years of working at home. Thoughts on a couple of these points:

Re: debit card - Because I don't like to keep a lot of cash in my checking account ... not very productive there. I pay off my credit card and other bills in the beginning of the month when our paychecks are deposited, and then shuttle money into savings & other accounts. Also I like using my Southwest credit card

Long growing season isn't so great if you don't have any water.
