Conclusion : The AFC West is just awful. As a non-Broncos fan living in Denver, I can confirm that despite the hype and the 11-game winning streak, having Broncos games on tv every week wasn't actually that exciting, at all.

I just updated to Beta v1.4 (using the updater in the settings menu), and it my custom dictionary is back, so it looks like they fixed it.

Palm "wine". I had some awesome nights / rough mornings in Ghana with that stuff.

So you're saying I shouldn't wear my PARTY MANIMAL shirt to Monday's staff meeting?

So khakis are off limits too? Huh. I guess everyone should wear suits / skirts to work. Should I break out my dinner jacket while we're at it?

You do realize there are variations of jeans, right? The jeans I wear for weeding the backyard are not cut or color the same as my nicer jeans, which look just as good as a pair of khakis. I don't see what's wrong w/ wearing a clean, non-wrinkled, well fitting pair of jeans on 'casual friday'.

Winter? Sad? What?

Whenever an article is posted with some shortcoming of Android, many posters are quick to point out that "yea, but you can do it if you root." At which point other posters (correctly) quickly point out that a user shouldn't have to root to get features that should be there in the first place. The same applies in

The TurboTax deal only appears to be available for Mac at the moment, not Windows.

Uh being witness to a rape and doing nothing about it except make jokes on camera? Not the same.

Now playing

Ah yes, the Tywin Lannister playbook. Skinning a deer whilst having an important conversation always adds gravitas.

"Consider that HBO, in less than a third of the number of households as ESPN, costs cable companies a reported $7 per customer per month (you end up paying more than twice that, on top of your regular cable bill)."

Backpacking in the context of this story is of the "I backpacked around Europe with my best friend the summer after high school," variety. Which can become exceedingly annoying to friends who have to constantly hear about said "life-changing" experience.

That's pretty awesome. The other main benefit for us was that my spouse was starting med school at the time and so I was able to claim a huge tuition tax credit for 4 yrs, since I was the only one with an income ... unfortunately no federal tax write-offs for domestic partners.

Yea, I wish all companies would catch on and allow domestic partnership benefits. Mine, not so much. I do see from their position it's easier from a legal standpoint (not having to make sure it's not fraud or whatever, although it sounds like your situation w/ the affidavit would cover that), but hopefully we'll get

Eh, for us it's not about validation, it's about the fringe benefits. We were together 8 years before getting married, lived together 4. We didn't need to be married to "take our relationship to the next level" ... but at a point it just made sense financially/logistically (health insurance, taxes, etc). Of course

Good luck. I work in the water industry ... and we can't even standardize measures within the US. Out West everyone likes acre-feet. Back East it's gallons. But some of those same towns that use gallons for supply metrics also use CCF (hundreds of cubic feet) for metering purposes. And then streamflows are typically

Or you could just use Sno Seal. This method also works to make some cheap leather ski gloves (instead of paying $100+ for Hestras or the like). It will also make you look hardcore (well, or that you're trying to be hardcore), as it's what most ski patrol folks wear.

Eh, just get some Levi's. They're always on sale at Macy's.

What does it mean if you have one of these?
