Season 3 is waaaay improved over season 2. The first half of season 2 is generally considered the worst of the series. Keep going, it's worth it.

It aggregates feeds from all kinds of different sources of your choosing (for example, you can throw Gizmodo in there) and puts them into a pretty format/layout. Personally, I prefer the interface of Currents, which does the same sort of thing.

Most smartphones are constantly syncing even when you're not actively using it ... not sure how that compares to the levels when you're talking on it though.

TuneIn radio has an alarm feature and it has access to a ton of streaming stations (actual radio stations from around the world plus genre music stations) that you can set it to wake up to. You can also subscribe to podcasts through it ... great app.

I think I'll stick w/ Amazon prime for streaming and grab blu-ray's from Red Box for the occasional new-ish release that I want to watch (typically only one or two a month anyway).

Bookmarks sync across devices (if you use the kindle android app) ... and a kindle is pretty damn lightweight.

Better solution ... don't have your wedding at an expensive-ass venue that makes you use their own expensive-ass bar. We specifically chose a venue (and these type of venues are typically cheaper anyway, because they aren't as "industrial-wedding-complex-y, so even w/ booze the total cost is probably less than a lot
