“but I think Liam Neeson is dating Kristen Stewart.”

I thought that at first and was super excited. But... alas.

I read the headline as if the Countess herself had hooked up with the two other housewives and thought “wow, I didn’t know housewives did that on the show”. I clearly need to sleep better tonight.

KRIS.

She projects that image for sales, nothing else.

When will the non-Hollywood actors understand that everyone ages? I love Lauren but her face is loaded with botox, fillers and probably, cheek implants, and a face lift.

Nicki and Meek’s thing is so weird to me. She keeps going on about the kind of boss-ass men she wants in her life and then she ends with a guy she will now literally babysit, who has the vocabulary and mentality of a teenager. He must be super charming behind closed doors cos...

And how he points out that every single time a Black actress is cast there’s pushback. It’s like when X Files was being rebooted and they offered Gillian Anderson HALF of David Duchovny’s salary! It’s beyond racism or sexism—it’s built into the financial thinking of movie execs. “Black actresses are less desirable and

Also,he’s speaking from a place of having actively helped black actresses get roles. He’s an ally in this cause, and since he’s walked the walk, and he was given a forum to talk, I say hear hear.

Chris Rock definitely has a very valid point and it’s something I’ve said throughout this #OscarsSoWhite conversation. The only Oscar snubs people could come up with were black men. 2015 was a very grim year for black women in movies.

The minute Kerry Washington brings up the pay gap she’s gonna find herself on a list of “difficult to work with” actresses. Chris has nothing to lose speaking up for them

Some probably do need someone with his professional clout and power to speak for them. Because they run the risk of tarnishing relationships/ getting even LESS roles if they do.

This. So much this. It never gets talked about in mainstream press. And even if it did......can you imagine a dark skinned black woman talking about that the way Amy Schumer talks about her weight? “Angry black woman” would get slapped on her so fast.

I’ve never gone into battle without a black woman,

The hype around her is ridiculous. I wonder if the backlash will be as overblown, or if she’ll just fizzle away and be replaced by someone else who's even worse? Sort of how Paris Hilton was replaced by Kim Kardashian and now you sometimes forget that she even exists, even though she was everywhere for a while

It would be incredibly helpful, though. Black men like Will Smith, Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry, Denzel Washington, and Kevin Hart have far more power in Hollywood than do the majority of Black women actors, directors, and producers. If Black men would advocate for casting and hiring Black women it would really help their

No they don’t. But he’s totally within his rights to speak on this. And what he’s saying is 100% true. He’s being supportive and coming from a place of marginalization himself as a black person in our society. The idea that he should just keep quiet on this strikes me as really counter-productive. A black actor can

Chris is speaking the truth. It seems to me he’s also subtlely talking about colorism toward actresses of African descent as well. Almost every “black” actress cast in movies/tv these days is light skinned/biracial/multi-racial. Hollywood really does not like dark skinned black women.

WHITE PEOPLE PLEASE COME GATHER THESE LADIES.
